The returnees will be taking care at this time, but sooner or later many of them will disappeared because they have to go to the re-education camps. That are where they will be tortured, sentenced to death, killed like many of the high government officials of the royal Lao family.

Once again we, (the US, perpetuate the dark mark that seems to plague us in many of our military operations.
We love you, we need you, we are your best friends and we'll promise you anything, until we don't need you, then we don't know you.
If I was conducting a civil war, I would not want America getting involved. History has proved that the US leaves it's friends twisting in the wind with only a, "isn't that a tragedy?", as compensation. As an American, I say to any potential freedom fighters, look at history and watch out for yourselves now; because later, you're on your own.

I can only hope that the Lao government will show these Hmong mercy. The so call "secret war" is as old as history. Let's move on and end this chapter so that we can open a new chapter. The Lao people and their government must understand that many Hmong have played and shaped the creation of its independence from French ruling. The Lao government must understand that by isolating themselves from the larger community is not the resolution that will benefits all parties involve. I believe that the Hmong people and international community are ready to move forward and leave behind the time of hatred and struggles.
